These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of oromiacoffeeunion.com (the "Site"), operated by the Oromia Coffee Farmers' Cooperative Union ("OCFCU", "we", "us"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
These Terms cover the website only. Any purchase of coffee is governed by a separate written sales contract agreed between OCFCU and the buyer; nothing on this Site is itself a binding offer to sell.
OCFCU is a farmer-owned union of Ethiopian coffee cooperatives, registered in Ethiopia, with offices at Bole Road, Addis Ababa. You can reach us at [email protected].
You may use the Site for lawful purposes only — to learn about our coffee, our union and our practices, and to make genuine trade enquiries. You agree not to:
Descriptions of our origins — including altitudes, processing methods, harvest windows, cup scores and flavour notes — are provided in good faith for general guidance. Coffee is a natural, seasonal product: the characteristics of any specific lot vary by harvest and micro-region and are confirmed only on the sample and in the signed sales contract. Listing an origin on the Site is not an offer of sale and is not a guarantee that it is currently available.
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, the OCFCU name and marks, photography, the origin map and page design — is owned by OCFCU or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. You may view and print pages for your own reference or for legitimate business dealings with us. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish or exploit any part of the Site commercially without our prior written permission.
We work to keep the Site accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that the information on it is complete or current at all times. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the Site at any time without notice.
The Site may link to third-party websites for convenience or context. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. A link does not imply our endorsement.
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, OCFCU excludes all implied warranties and will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, business, goodwill or data, arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the Site. You agree to indemnify OCFCU against reasonable claims, losses and costs arising from your misuse of the Site or your breach of these Terms.
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Ethiopian courts. Terms of any coffee supply contract may specify their own governing law and dispute-resolution mechanism, which will prevail for that contract.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published here on the date you use the Site; the "last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
